Dungeon Runners heads to the consoles
April 1, 2008
In an unprecedented announcement NCsoft today revealed that Dungeon Runners will be the first ever MMORPG ported to the Atari Jaguar.
"This will mark a new era for NCsoft and console gamers worldwide," said Stephen Nichols, Dungeon Runners' Producer. "The Jaguar is 64-bits of pure processing power. Most of our players' operating systems are still 32-bit. That's at least 32-bits of difference! I think gamers will be able to do the math and realize how cool this will be."
"Going to the Jaguar is such a revolutionary step," said Mark Tinker, Lead Designer. "Players won't even have to go through the inconvenience of downloading the game or installing lengthy patches. Account creation will also be a thing of the past--just go out and buy the game cartridge, it has everything you need right on there. Plus, you won't even need a computer or a monitor any more. Everyone has color TVs these days." Pricing for this new edition of Dungeon Runners has not yet been announced.
"I have no doubt this will be the hit of 2008 on the Jaguar," Nichols added. "Sure, Jaguar owners have seen such hits like Tempest 2000, Doom, and Aliens vs. Predator--all good games for their time. Dungeon Runners will blow them out of the water." Atari could not be reached for comment.
