Patch Notes for Build 123

Here are the patch notes:

  • We fixed the encounter issues with Vergrim's.
  • We fixed some missing opening sounds on doors, chests, etc.
  • We adjusted PvP matchmaking to help get matches more quickly. This has been done by accelerating the rating tolerance over time. The tolerance now starts at 60 points and increases by 2.35% every 5 seconds. We also simplified the matching rating to be the average of the group's rating and removed the power, level and group size contributions from the matching system.
  • We've modified the PvP matchmaking system to disallow matches where one side is severely disadvangated. The following match sizes are no longer allowed: 1v3, 1v4, 1v5, 2v5.
  • We've removed the damage bonus given to disadvantaged players from PvP. Advantaged players still receive a sizable damage nerf.
  • We've changed the fear and stun immunity time bonus in disadvantages PvP matches. When outnumbered, you now receive a 100% bonus to all stun and fear immunity durations. The advantaged team now receives a 25% nerf to their immunity durations.
  • A bug with the Bling Gnome not animating properly if you activate him while he's busy picking up gold has been fixed.
  • Blue Screen of Life's mana damage inflation has been reduced to 50% (down from 60%).
  • Our in-game profiler has been enabled on the server in a low-overhead mode. Every 15 minutes, the server will log what major areas of the code it is spending its time in. This will help us to optimize in preparation for the retail release and soon after.
  • We will be doing the database maintenance required to enable character XML sheets and PvP leaderboards.
