Comic-Con Day 3C: Last night

August 13, 2007

The show is now wrapping up and we’ve had another great day talking to folks about all the NCsoft games. There are lots more people talking about Dungeon Runners than the day before, asking questions, telling us they’d already subscribed, were asking their friends to play, and so forth.

My feet are killing me (wow, that’s unusual at a convention hall with cement floors) and I’m beat from hoofing it outside. I take it easy for the remainder of the day and we wrap it up nicely. Each of the team must have talked to hundreds of people individually. We don’t do the megaphone thing. That’s rude… besides, it costs money, and like I said, we don’t have a budget.

We head out for the hotel planning on dinner as a group except April who I think hung out with the TenTonHammer guys. I need to meet them, they sounded cool.

I luck out this time and get the only room available where the rest of our group was staying: the Hampton Inn not far from the center… and bonus! It’s a smoking room. I filled my lungs with putrid nastiness that lasted for two more days on all my clothes and even my backpack. Gross.

So, kids, here’s the lesson: hack & slash is what you’ll sound like at 2AM when coughing up your guts from second-hand smoke, let alone the tough stuff. Don’t start and pick a healthier habit, like playing free MMO’s. You won’t sleep any better, but it doesn’t hurt nearly as much.

That allowed me to think of a new item for DR, the Flaming Stick of Wheezy Nastiness. Probably could never get that one past the ESRB, though. Violence good, smoking bad.
